Awesome App!
I’ve been using Sound Forge since it was owned by Sonic Foundry, before Sony bought them out. Even though I’ve used Pro Tools, Cubase, Sonar, and others, Sound Forge has always been my favorite sound editor. After switching to a Mac several months ago, I had to update to this version as my old disk was for PC only. This turned out to be a good thing, because the current version (2.0.4) is miles ahead of the one I had. I think I’ve gone through three or four different versions over the years and this one is the best by far. A lot has changed, but it’s still familiar enough to dive right in. The Wave Hammer compressor/volume maximizer works wonders for mastering, the multiband compressor allows for extreme fine tuning, & having a parametric eq is always helpful. Found a few minor glitches here and there, but nothing major, and have always instantly recovered from the few crashes I’ve experienced with no loss of data. Easily worth the price. Learn it and you might never want to use anything else.
